Inle Lake အင်းလေးကန်, is a freshwater lake located in the Nyaungshwe Township of Taunggyi District of Shan State. It is the second largest lake in Myanmar with an estimated surface area of 44.9 square miles (116 km2), and one of the highest at an elevation of 2,900 feet (880 m). During the dry season, the average water depth is 2.1 m, with the deepest point being 3.7 m, but during the rainy season this can increase by up to 2m. They are the facts, but the story is … the Longneck woman, the stilted houses, the flat boats are all everyday life here, pushing a boat with your legs must take a bit of practice and effort but each time one passes the person guiding the boat is engaging and friendly with a warm welcome to the country. The longneck women are equally welcoming, beautiful people with a calm peace that helps everyones day. The whole town is an amazing, unusual surprise.
